College of Earth and Mineral Sciences Graduate Student Council
The graduate student council is a group of representatives from the 5 departments of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. The Graduate Student Council's purpose is to advocate in the best interests of the graduate student body as a whole and to facilitate the implementation of policies deemed beneficial to the graduate student population. Further, the council will foster collaboration of ideas and policies between the various departments within the college. The Council is dedicated to making improvements, wherever needed, as voiced by the graduate students of the college.

Penn State Graduate and Professional Student Association
The Graduate and Professional Student Association is a University-level organization that aims to represent and support the interests of the University’s current and future graduate and professional student community by supporting scholarly activities and providing leadership, service, and social opportunities.
- Association for Women Geoscientists
Founded in 2012, we combine a mixture of events, outreach, and fundraising to encourage women geoscientists in central PA.
- Graduate Students in the Department of Geography (GSDoGs)
GSDoGs is a University-recognized organization that serves as the direct link between the graduate community and the department faculty and staff.
- Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU)
GTU is an international honor society for geography. The principal aim of the society is to promote geography as a lifelong pursuit and to help geographers share their enthusiasm for the discipline with fellow members.
- Materials Research Society Penn State Chapter
- The Chapter aims to bring together students and faculty from various backgrounds in materials to further the exchange of knowledge and ideas between the different programs
- Student Association of Environmental Science and Engineering (SAESE)
The main purpose of SAESE-PSU is to foster interactions between graduate and undergraduate scientists and engineers engaged in environmentally relevant research.
