We have more than 640 graduate and professional students — pursuing degrees ranging from GIS to meteorology to engineering in nationally-ranked programs. This breadth extends to our research enterprise and we have an unmatched selection of research possibilities, allowing students to conduct research with award-winning faculty.

Graduate organizations
Graduate Student organizations and clubs help you get involved on and off-campus, meet other graduate and professional students, and further your personal and professional interests. There are many graduate student organizations, representing a wide array of social, cultural and academic interests.
Assistantships and fellowships
Most qualified applicants to our graduate studies programs are strongly supported, both via faculty involvement and financial assistance. As a graduate student in EMS, you may be eligible for a number of assistantships and fellowships. These are awarded to exceptional candidates on a merit basis by individual academic departments.
