I’m attending North Carolina State University to pursue a master’s degree in textile engineering. I’m excited to use my background in materials science, specifically polymers, to learn more about fiber science and fabric production. I’ll also study personal protective textiles and sustainable practices.

I’m heading to the University of Hawaii at Manoa to begin a Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Sciences. My project will focus on using body-wave tomography, a technique that images the Earth’s subsurface with seismic waves, to study Kīlauea’s Southwest Rift Zone.

While at MIT I will be supported by the NSF graduate research fellowship and am eager to continue my studies in thin film materials synthesis for emergent electronic, photonic, and magnetic properties.

I will be working at Howden Re as an Associate on the R&D (Research and Development) and catastrophe modeling team in Edina, Minnesota! In this role, I will analyze catastrophe risk using modeling tools, help improve analytical workflows, and communicate my insights with clients, colleagues, actuaries, and reinsurers.

I’m attending the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science to pursue a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Sciences. As a graduate research assistant, I will conduct research to improve an explainable AI–based machine learning model that predicts the onset of coral-reef heat stress in the Florida Keys on subseasonal timescales.

I will be pursuing a master’s degree in Geosciences at Virginia Tech, where I will be working with Dr. John Hole on applying seismic sensing methods to improving mine safety. This will continue my focus in geophysics and expand my skillset from the foundation I have built through the Penn State College of Earth and Mineral Sciences.

I will be attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a master’s degree in marine sciences. I’ll be researching storm surge modeling and improving future flooding forecasts. My goal is to have a career mitigating coastal hazards.
