What made you choose your major?
I always had an interest in weather, and Penn State helped make that interest expand.
What student organizations and activities are you involved in?
I am the President of PSUBAMS (Penn State’s Branch of the American Meteorological Society) in which we plan fun and engaging professional development activities. I also am on the Storm Chase Team, Student Council for EMS, THON for EMS, as well as Campus Weather Service. In addition, I like to cheer for the hockey team in the student section, the ROAR ZONE.
What is the one Penn State activity that everyone should participate in, and why?
Penn State hockey for sure! All the fans are super passionate, and it is always a blast in Pegula.
What is one piece of advice you would give to prospective students?
Try as many clubs as you want! You can always narrow down your interests later, but it never hurts to try something you are interested in.
What opportunities has Penn State provided for you so far?
Penn State has allowed me to travel to conferences in Baltimore and New Orleans. They also allowed for me to chase in the Great Plains for 10 days last year, and I will be going again!
