What made you choose your major?
My parents told me I have the “family weather gene”, so I ran with it!
What student organizations and activities are you involved in?
Within the college, I’m Vice President of Women in EMS and participate in Student Council and EMS Ambassadors. For my major, I take part in Campus Weather Service and the PSU Branch of the American Meteorological Society. Outside of those, I am involved with Club Cross Country as a workout chair.
What is the best class you’ve taken at Penn State and why?
METEO 201, the intro to meteorology class, went over anything related to atmospheric science in a way that was engaging and reassured me that I decided on the right major!
Why did you decide to attend Penn State?
If I went to another university, I knew I would wonder what I would have accomplished at Penn State.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in college so far?
It is about who you know, so try to reach out to as many people as you have the chance to. Some small connections go a long way!
