Academic Integrity Committee reviews contested cases of academic integrity on the part of the accused student. Since most cases are settled between the instructor and the student, convening the committee is a rare occurrence.
The committee is comprised of:
- Three faculty members (one who is the chair)
- One department head
- One faculty alternate
- Two students (one undergraduate and one graduate)
A committee member serves a maximum of four years on the committee, beginning as faculty alternate, serving as a faculty member for two years, and finishing the fourth year as committee chair. Department heads serve for two years, on a rotating basis. Students are nominated and selected for service, and may be reappointed.
