Grant recipients will receive up to $25,000. Funds may be used as support for a graduate student, small equipment, software, travel, user facility fees, and/or materials and supplies. Funds may not be used to supplement previously-secured major funding or toward salary support for the primary investigator. The award period is one year and any unspent balance at the end of the award period will be returned to the college for reallocation.

Eligibility
- Full-time EMS faculty
- Only one application per faculty per award cycle
Submission Guidelines
- Submission is available through the InfoReady website https://psu.infoready4.com/
- Application materials to include:
- Title and brief executive summary of the (unfunded) research plan, expected outcomes, and impact (1 page limit)
- Copy of unfunded proposal package
- Evidence of high scoring, review comments, or panel summary
- Description of how the Resubmit grant will increase the likelihood of success at attaining extramural funds
- Budget plan and budget justification (i.e., no need for a formal PSU budget).
Deadline
- Proposals are due the second Friday in October annually
Review Criteria
Proposals will be reviewed according to:
- Soundness and description of scientific approach
- Feasibility of proposed time frame and budget
- Potential to attract external funding, develop innovative research activities and advance college strategic goals
Award Information
- Applicants can expect to be notified of selection results in November. Funds will be administered by the Office of the Associate Dean for Graduate Education and Research. The funding period is January 1 - December 31.
Reporting Requirements
- Project investigators are required to submit a final report by the project end date.
- Final reports are limited to three pages and should include the following:
- Major research findings/outcomes and
- Future activities and opportunities that will be pursued as a result of this award
