Observing Meteorological Phenomena

Who can be
so illiterate
as a
meteorologist
who cannot
read the sky.

        A.B.F.

This material is presented in support of the course, Observing Meteorological Phenomena (Obs), taught in the Department of Meteorology at the Pennsylvania State University. The instructional material (under development) will become available through a link below.

What is presented here is merely supporting material of use either to prospective students who are making a decision as to whether to take the course, or to enrolled students who are wrestling with the need to complete assignments.

Depending upon the semester, the Obs course might be taught by different professors. Although some of this material might be of use to those attending versions of the course taught by other professors, it is designed specifically to support the students attending the classes offered by Professor Fraser. These resources are being used by Professor Fraser during the Spring 2001 semester.
