What made you choose your major?
When I was not sure what major to pursue, the incredible staff in EMS pointed me toward geography, a field I only knew of by maps. I am so grateful they did, because now I have completely fallen in love with the major. The problem-solving and systems-thinking aspects have allowed me to focus my passion on finding solutions to real-world problems.
What student organizations and activities are you involved in?
EMS Ambassadors, EcoReps
What is the one Penn State activity that everyone should participate in, and why?
Everyone should go to a Penn State Hockey game, especially students. The Roar Zone is the greatest student section in college hockey for a reason!
Why did you decide to attend Penn State?
My sister encouraged me to come to Penn State so we could spend one year in college together (her as a senior, me as a first-year student).
What’s the best part about being an EMS student?
The community within EMS is the best part of being an EMS student. Everyone is always so kind and ready to help you with whatever you need.
What is one piece of advice you would give to prospective students?
Talk to people! You never know who you could meet.
