What made you choose your major?
I chose petroleum and natural gas engineering because it is a multidisciplinary program that gives career options in the field and not only behind a desk.
What is the one Penn State activity that everyone should participate in, and why?
Penn State Football. Sharing a mutual passion with 100,000+ other people to create an atmosphere that cannot be recreated is something every student should experience.
Why did you decide to attend Penn State?
I picked Penn State because of the atmosphere on campus and beyond. When you meet another Penn Stater, it is an instant talking point and that is because just about everybody enjoys their time at Penn State. Attending THON during high school made me pick Penn State over my other options and captures the essence of the community.
What is one piece of advice you would give to prospective students?
Get to know your teaching assistants. Especially in upper-level classes, they will become the best resource you will have with challenging subjects.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned in college so far?
The most important lesson I have learned is that networking and maintaining positive relationships are the best ways to gain respect and achieve your goals.
