More About Me
The best class I took at Penn State is GEOSC 410: Marine Biogeochemistry. During spring break, the students of GEOSC 410 had the opportunity to travel to San Salvador Island in the Bahamas to conduct research on a variety of topics. Free time was spent snorkeling, hiking and caving!
One of the easiest ways to become familiar with all that Penn State has to offer is to attend the Involvement Fair during the first week of classes. Representatives from a majority of the 1200+ student organizations gather on the HUB Lawn in order to enlighten students about ways to get involved within the Penn State community and about how to get the most out of their college experience.
Three words I would use to describe EMS are: Unpredictable, challenging and rewarding
The best part about being an EMS student is the opportunities that the department provides. As an undergraduate, I was able to participate in the department-sponsored poster competition and I am currently performing research for my senior thesis under the direct supervision of our world-class faulty.
The most important lesson I've learned in college so far is be sure to learn about all of the resources that the university provides and make the most out of them throughout your entire college career.
My favorite spring break activity is to go somewhere warm and dive!
