Carbon
Research Center
The principal mission of the center is to
carry out applied research projects focused on specific industrial problems
on production and utilization of carbon materials with support from a consortium
of member companies. Petroleum cokes, activated carbons, carbon-carbon
composites, coal tar pitch, petroleum pitch, graphite, and coal-derived
carbons are examples of materials which are researched at the center. The
results from the research projects are disseminated to members in periodic
meetings and reports.
