Calipso project

About This Website

We are Genevieve and Cooper Elsworth from State College, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. We will travel to Montserrat with our father who is involved in the CALIPSO project that will place instruments on the volcano to study it. Our trip is for three weeks in December of 2002.

When we visit the island, we want to log our observations of the volcano, the weather, the biology and other things we learn so that our school and our friends in class can learn with us and be part of a tour of a volcanic island.

We have written some information about things we've learned before we go but hope to add information as we experience different things. We would like to add daily logs of information we collect and add pictures as well.

We hope also to meet other school children of our age, talk about what we're doing and maybe they can become penpals with some of the children in our school.
