EMS THON Experience

The EMS THON team has a proud tradition of participating in the largest student-run philanthropy event in the world. The Penn State IFC/Pan-Hellenic Dance Marathon (THON) raises millions of dollars to help thousands of children and families fight pediatric cancer. Many EMS Student Council members participate on THON committees such as morale, operations, rules and regulations, marketing, and hospitality. Perhaps more exciting than either the money or rewards, the College was presented with their very own THON Four Diamonds Family, The Troy Brewer Family. Being awarded a Four Diamonds Family who has personally benefited from the tireless efforts is an experience that lasts a lifetime. The Brewer Family spent the entire 48 hour THON experience with the EMS students standing beside them in support of a cure. “When cancer is cured, we’ll dance for joy. Until then, we dance For the Kids.”
