Special Journal Issue Honors Frank Aplan
Frank F. Aplan, distinguished professor emeritus of metallurgy and mineral processing, has been honored by his colleagues with a special issue of the International Journal of Mineral Processing. The symposium and technical papers, published in honor of his 75th birthday, was organized and edited by Penn State Professors S. Chander and R. Penn State Students Place First in Environmental Design Contest
Each year the Waste-Management Environmental Research Council (WERC) hosts an Environmental Design Contest that provides students with practical, hands-on experience designing solutions to actual environmental problems. A team of seven Penn State students entered WERCıs 10th annual design competition and took first place in the Acid Mine Drainage Treatment and Utilization Task. [MORE]
