PURPOSE
The Penn State Miner Training Program is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Mine Safety through the State Grants Program of the U.S. Department of Labor, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) to provide training to miners and mining company employees.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Penn State Miner Training Program is committed to providing the highest quality mine safety training services to Pennsylvania mining companies and miners. The Miner Training Program will continue Penn State's long history of outstanding mining service to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The team members of the Miner Training Program are knowledgeable instructors who use innovative training methods to deliver the highest level of mine safety training. The Miner Training Program is committed to the belief that training reduces incidents, and that quality training will yield quality results.
