Dr. Don Richardson, a 1977 graduate from the Penn State Department of Geography recently established the G.D. Richardson Scholarship in Geography. Brooks Establishes Endowment to Support Penn State's Cooperative Wetlands Center.
This year Dr. Robert P. Brooks will reach the 25-year milestone as a faculty member at Penn State. To celebrate that event, Robert and Rebecca Brooks of State College, Pennsylvania, recently established the "Robert P. and Rebecca P. Brooks Endowment for the Cooperative Wetlands Center." [MORE]

Meyers Establish Trustee Scholarship.
In order to help support talented undergraduate meteorology students who have a great financial need, James and Joan Meyer of Silver Spring, Maryland have donated more than $50,000 to establish the James H. and Joan E. Meyer Trustee Scholarship in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. The scholarship will provide support to undergraduate students who are pursuing studies in the area of physical meteorology. Johnson and Johnson Focused Giving Grant Accelerates Biomaterials Research at Penn State
Johnson & Johnson (J&J) recently awarded a $255,000 Focused Giving Grant to Erwin Vogler, associate professor of materials science and engineering, to support his project titled, "Scaled Interfacial Activity of Blood Proteins with Relevance to Coagulation." This three-year grant will assist Vogler in applying new insights into protein adsorption in the development of blood-compatible biomaterials.
