THE EMS Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) is pleased to announce that the EMS Ice Cream Social and Carnival successfully raised $1160.00 for the Staff Centennial Award, a fund that provides monies to the EMS support staff in the successful completion of educational and professional development courses.

While enjoying a dish of Penn State Creamery ice cream, hand-scooped by members of SAC, attendees had the opportunity to purchase tickets to participate in some classic carnival favorites including a dunk tank challenge, a ring toss, and a bean-bag throw. To add more excitement to the mix, faculty and staff from every department donated baskets and other prizes to be raffled off during the event. Participants could enter the prize raffle by either earning tickets from playing games or by purchasing raffle tickets directly. All proceeds benefited the Staff Centennial Award.

SAC would like to thank all of those who participated in the carnival and ice cream social, particularly those who assisted in organizing the event. Special thanks goes to Gary Messing, Yaw Yeboah, Tim Robinson, Stevie Rocco and Ron Redwing who graciously volunteered for repeated soakings in the dunk tank.

Next year's carnival is in the planning process, stay tuned for details!...
