Schenck Teaching Assistant of the Year Award
Nominations are being accepted for the
The George Schenck Teaching Assistant of the Year Award in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences
The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize a graduate student in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who has performed his or her responsibility as a graduate teaching assistant in an exemplary manner and has been named teaching assistant of the year in his or her department. All nominations are due in the Dean's Office, 116 Deike, by February 15. Please submit three copies of the nomination material for each nominee.
Criteria and Eligibility
Consideration for this award shall be given to all graduate teaching assistants in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences who have performed their responsibility as a teaching assistant in an exemplary manner and have been named teaching assistant of the year in their department.
Nominations
The Dean of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, or his/her designee, shall select the Schenck teaching assistant of the year annually from those individuals named by each of the College's departments as their department's teaching assistant of the year. Supporting documentation shall include a nominating letter highlighting the individual's accomplishments as a teaching assistant.
Presentation
The recipient will receive $1000 and a recognition memento at the Wilson Awards banquet held each spring.
