Obelisk Society
The Penn State Obelisk, standing on the Mall near Old Main, is an enduring symbol of the history and spirit of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. The Obelisk is such a significant tribute to the College‘s achievements, it has inspired an entire society. You too, can become a member of this society and show your Earth and Mineral Sciences pride. Society membership is open to all University alumni and friends; to become a lifetime member, contributions totaling $50,000 to the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences must be made. In addition to your lifetime membership, you will have the opportunity to create everlasting relationships with other members during our annual Obelisk Society banquet and Penn State football tailgate.
